I've been a fan of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha since about 2010 when it was first suggested by another member on my first forum that I administered. Maybe this is yet another reason why I enjoy foruming so much. (Yes, I'm creating a word.) Anyway, the many reasons why I absolutely adore this anime:
What are your reasons for admiring this anime?
- It blends together science fiction/high technology with cute girls who wield powerful magic.
- There is something ultra pleasant about the art style. I think it's the coloring of the eyes, so expressive and emotionally captivating.
- The character's themselves are full of depth, they have detailed personalities, vices, traumas, even the villains aren't completely evil--they're redeemable.
- The music. Need I say more? Just as the genres blend two extremes, so does the music. Violins, drums, electric guitars and piano notes? Throw in Nana Mizuki's beautiful voice, your ears are in for a massive treat. But also the mix of more classical pieces with the high-energy OP songs. The musical selection is just ... cake! (IYKYK)
- Despite the absolute arsenal of characters that Masaki Tsuzuki has created, there's so much unanswered and open possibilities that exist for us fans to create in.
- Dare I mention it's a kindergarten yuri?
- And getting back to the lore, it's deep, it makes sense, there's logical and rational conclusions that can be deduced about the way magic works within this realm. The lore is complex and rich--granting yet more ammunition to us creative writers!
