Annoucements and Updates / Resources for Help
Last post by Senkusha - Thursday, March 14, 2024, 14:35
After running into complications attempting to register for another forum, I've decided to implement the following list of resources.

1.  For non-urgent issues, things like features that you'd like added to the site, or bugs of a non-critical nature, please post a new topic in this board.  I check our site at least once every day.

2.  If something is somewhat urgent, consider Personal Messaging me.  I will receive an email alert in this instance.

3.  If there is any reason why you can not create a post or send a PM, you may email me at senkusha@animerpgs.com, however, this isn't all that reliable considering the various anti-spam measures that are enforced.  Only use this method as a last resort (or if you're pending to have your account verified/activated).

Thank you and have fun!

I think that viewing at a situation through the eyes of another character allows you to feel the situation from that non-first person perspective.  A third person perspective, in my opinion, feels a few levels removed, or maybe less intimate?

When I write, I tend to jump around with time. I may write something that later on I feel would work for the middle, not the beginning.

Quote from: Senkusha on Wednesday, March 06, 2024, 13:09I just had a full blown panic attack while at work.  I got sent home... two hours away.  I guess I needed an extra day off from work.

I seriously am having difficulty "staying in the game" of this hellistic dumpster fire called The American Dream.  I'm going to have to continue working and dealing with irate customers for another 20 years?  Screw that.  Oh, AND I don't get to retire.  This sucks that I can't afford my medications.
I'm sorry to hear of your panic attack! I'm fortunate I don't have to work because I have suffered from panic & anxiety attacks.

We've always been deceived. Things have been hidden from us to better the Elite & fatten their pocketbooks.
I don't know how they can go to sleep at night & not have a conscience!

I tried watching Dragonball many years ago but couldn't get into it. However, I feel anytime somebody has passed away!

What a unique way to look at it! How does viewing from the side differ from third person?

Quote from: Senkusha on Wednesday, March 06, 2024, 13:20I've tried instant coffee.  I'm not really a fan of it, but I'll drink it in a pinch.  Actually, these days, I'm not really a fan of pre-ground coffee anymore either.  Once you've gone to grinding your beans fresh, it's a world of difference!
We buy whole organic beans & grind them up. While I don't like coffee, I do however love the smell :)

Quote from: Senkusha on Wednesday, March 06, 2024, 13:12I hate daylight savings time (so much so, I'm refusing to capitalize it!)  It wrecks havoc on my body, I'm already exhausted, now I get even less sleep, and although it's just one day we loose an hour, it takes my body like three months just to reset itself.  I'll probably cope with it the same way I've done for years now, just going to be really early so I can get a fresh start on the new time-table.  Looks like I'm skipping dinner on Saturday.
I don't know of many who do not struggle mentally & physically. It takes me awhile to adjust as well.

I stumbled upon a technique that I don't think is talked about.  Why hasn't anybody suggested writing  a few paragraphs from different points in time or character perspectives.  Just play with the beginning of the story, until you find one that just clicks.

What are your thoughts?  Have you done anything like this before when writing?
