I only have two questions for this post:
  • What do you currently do to secure financial income?
  • What do you want to do to secure financial income?
  • And if you didn't have to work, what would you rather be doing with all that free time?
(Yeah, I lied, that was actually three questions!)

Currently, I'm a cashier, a supervisor, which is nothing more than a glorified cashier with a key. This job requires me to be able to count, do quick basic mathematics (like addition), have a keen attention to detail, tact, and a good command of verbal speech. Being friendly helps too--so I've been told. 😜

I've given a lot of thought as to what I'd rather do for a job. I'm pretty good with office related tasks, like organizing paperwork, I'm decent at answering the telephone, I really enjoy helping other people. But, I don't have a college education, so that's pretty limiting for me, because it seems that all office jobs, even the entry level ones, require a Bachelor's degree.

Now, if I didn't have to work, I'd probably be making my own video games! I love playing around with 3D modeling, making little code snippets to work, creating user interfaces, and someday, I want to take a deep dive into VFX (Visual Effects), because they look really amazing to make.

Other things I would like to do would be just to write creatively. I have several ideas for stories and characters, but I just never seem to get the time to work on them.

My hubby and I both work our respective jobs. We're not rich by any means but we do have enough money to live comfortably.

I would love to stay at home and be able to read all the time, however, I know that's not realistic.

Actually, reading all the time could be a job. People get paid to proofread books for authors. I'm not sure I could do that kind of work though, because any little error in a published work, usually sends me down a spiral of "OMG! An error detected!"

What do you currently do to secure financial income?
I'm a student right now, but I used to be a food runner for an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in a college town. Not that you'd know it was Korean from the Japanese gachapon machines near the entrance and the TVs over the bar that played shounen anime. The few things Korean about it were the name, the soju, and probably some of my coworkers and I. The menu all used English names for the food, so it was up to me to translate on the spot for the occassional ESL Korean.
Anyways, customers used tablets to order meat or banchan, and I shuttled them. Occasionally, I filled up drinks or swapped out dirty grills that are embedded in the tables.
Place's pretty much dead during the weekdays, but I was hauling butt during Fridays and weekend nights.

What do you want to do to secure financial income?
I'd like a boring office job. Stable employment. Probably an accountant or something.
Or maybe win the lottery or hit the jackpot at a casino.

And if you didn't have to work, what would you rather be doing with all that free time?
I'd be squandering it all screwing around, catching up on video games, anime, TV shows, and movies that I missed.

Friendly reminder, that if you do win the lotto, keep your old pal Senk in mind. I'd be really thrilled with only a million. That's enough, invested properly that I could live off the interest for the rest of my life!

I only live at home still with my mother because I became sick years ago and it's hard to do a lot of tasks that most people can do easily. I do have a GED high school equivalent diploma but no college degree. Don't know exactly what I will do for work in the future but I'm sure I'll figure it out then.

I currently work in a bank, but it's in operations so I get to work in an office and not have to deal with customers face to face. I process credit card payments, mortgage payments, etc. People still pay their bills via mail and I get to scan their checks in a machine that takes pictures of the check along with any other papers they send with the checks. I love this job and have been working there for almost 2 years now. I had no prior bank experience btw and I don't have a degree. I wish I could make a living off of making Youtube videos, but my channel barely has over 400 subscribers and I honestly don't post as often as I should.

I'm disabled myself, but I did work freelance as a writer and editor. I hopefully will be able to find energy and capability enough to return to it in the future. Other options I've thought of were content creation (though that seems like even more energy and brainpower), game development (actively trying to learn skills when I'm up to working on studying things), etc.

As a youth I wanted to be a teacher, specifically for special education... but a mixture of problems kinda made that impossible. Still! It was a fun thought.

Since I don't actively work due to disability, I think the third answer is just "what I already do but preferrably with less pain"?

I'm also starting to do some side gig things, right now I'm focusing on taking surveys and playing games to earn money. I did this in the past somewhat on Idle Empire and did end up earning $3 worth of Ethereum but unfortunately they no longer pay in crypto to US residents so I can only earn gift cards from them.
