In MGLN, the magic circle is introduced. This is the typical platform that identifies Midchildan style of magic. It is described as two concentric circles, the inner one is stationary, while the outer one rotates counterclockwise. Inside the inner circle are two squares, one rotates clockwise, the other counterclockwise. There are magical symbols lining each of the circles.

A triangular style was introduced in A's with the Belkan style of magic. This shape is a basic triangle with a circle overlaid on each point of the triangle, which may or may not rotate. Magical symbols outline the outside borders of the triangle.

Color. There is a color linking the magic circle to the caster. The importance of this color is yet to be determined. It may simply just be an identifier, much like the color of spells used by the caster, especially when a Bind spell is used.
