It's no secret that I've been looking around for replacement gear so that I can enjoy my music again. I recently decided to give looking into regular headphones a review. I've heard for a long time that Bose seems to be the leader in superior quality for sound delivery, so I let's check them out.
Looking at the Bose website, there's a few options to review. I'm kinda of a nut when it comes to the latest and greatest in tech-- so obviously the QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen) caught my eye. But, the price tag.... ouch! $369! I might have to wait until Tax Season (and that's assuming I actually get a refund this year). But then the other question is, would I truly get to enjoy the Bose experience while on the subway, bus, or just listening to YouTube videos?
Oh, and get this-- the power adapter isn't even included! Why is it that corporations are nickling and diming us customers? Enshitification is real.
There's also the QuietComfort (2nd Gen), which appears to be the standard version of the above Ultra version. These lack some of the premium sound experiences that the Ultra has, but is significantly cheaper, at only $219. Again, the power adapter isn't included. Although I'm not a fan of plastic being the primary construction material.
So anyway, do you have any experience with Bose?
