This week, I've done a lot of remodeling, poking around, and fixin' of stuff. Let's get into it.

Probably the biggest event this week is the release of the new RPG System that I've been quietly developing over the past two years. CHIBI, an anime comedy role playing game, was inspired by a combination of several other games, mixed with some of my own thoughts, and is currently being held together by duct tape, hopes, and dreams! Originally, I was going to publish a traditional book, PDF digital copy, like every other normal, sane Indie Publisher does. But then it was rather plainly pointed out to me (by me) that I'm freakin' crazy, and I can't do normal. So instead, I've chosen to publish the book right here on the forum, and that grants some amazing opportunities:
  • A fan base for the book, will ultimately help with the inevitable Kick Starter campaign I'll have to launch.
  • Immediate commentary, advice, and possible play-testing of the rule set in a safe environment (here).
  • And maybe stimulating some conversation in other areas of Prismatica, possibly spurring an actual role playing game here, like in the good ole days of 2007?
Anyway, I know the publication of this book is going to need help financially, so that brings me into the next thing I updated. We have a new member group now, the Isekai Society. For a low monthly cost, interested members who will actually use my role playing system can help make it a reality! I wanted to keep the price as low as possible, so that anybody can help out, if they choose to. For $5 a month, members will gain access to everything I've got cooking in the back, and they'll be able to give feedback-- bonus, if you've ever wanted 15 minutes of fame, here's your chance. You're name's goin' in my book!

This leads into another enhancement. I've cleaned up the Credits/Shop site extensions. While this doesn't impact much in he forefront, it does allow members who want to contribute to the CHIBI system, but are poor like me, a way to access the content for free. Just post on Prismatica, and you'll earn Lumina, which can then be used as a payment method. It's a win-win as far as I'm concerned. The site get much needed content and activity beyond just what's inside my bizarre head, and you get access to the goods! Will this payment method help with publishing costs? Not directly, no. But more activity, may mean more people coming to the site, stimulating more conversation, meaning more member registrations, meaning.... you get the picture now?

Finally, I've changed the Donation section to promote the manufacturing of the book. I estimate, based on other role playing publishers' KickStarter goals, that $15,000 will be needed to go to print. I've analyzed this cost and itemized the list. Giving a donation in any amount will grant six months or more of Isekai Society access, and whatever else I can think of to throw at ya as well.

Other changes to Prismatica include consolidation of boards and topics. Yeah, I moved some stuff around again. I've tried to consolidate the number of boards present on the main forum, while specific subjects as sub-boards. Already the Anime and Role Playing Systems boards have been migrated over to the Clubs area of the forum. Please go check them out, because I fear with them out of sight, they are totally forgotten about. I've implemented a Recent Topics from the Clubs section, so hopefully members will poke around, maybe even create some more Clubs?

Speaking of Clubs, I'm in the process of procuring new imagery for the Anime Clubs. And at some point this year, hopefully, I'll have enough money saved up to have a new Prismatica Banner drawn up--not that this has anything to do with Clubs, but it is imagery, so bare with me, 'kay?

I'm continuing to populate the site with old Ayeka Bliss discussions to give more ideas of conversations to have. Really, I don't mind if y'all necropost here. I encourage it even! Go invite your friends to have a huge necromancy party. Heck, I'll bake cookies... or something!

Because I feel that the new medication I'm on is actually working-- I'm feeling more energetic now, I plan to be posting in a lot more, stirring up some role playing, and hopefully finding more Players. to stir up some shenanigans here. And with that, I'm off to start some of my own problems. Let's go have some fun!
