I saw it. It was great.
Movies made from books are a challenge... books can go so much deeper into character development where actors/directors are more limited. Books engage the imagination of the reader, where movies provide all the visuals. Then you add in time constraints, budgets, etc. I'm really bad about judging movies that are made from books because I'm a bookworm, but they really are 2 completely different mediums.
I just saw The Illusionist and The Wicker Man (new version). Loved the first, mixed feelings on the second. Anyone else watched them?

Never seen it or heard of it.
My fav movies are a tough one. No true fav, but I like Spiderman and Spiderman 2, Lord of the Rings, Grendel, Constantine, Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Army of Darkness, and many others.
One of my favorite scenes: From Army of Darkness when Bad Ash is impaled by the spear, and he just snaps the ends off instead of pulling it out.

I tell you thouhg one thing i do like to see (not always mind you because the originals are sometimes better) is when they take an older movie and remake it with the current technology...Spiderman is a great example...so much better than the originals!
Some of these comic book movie are very good. Like X-Men and X-men II. May not X-men III, but still.
X-III was good, but could have been much better. Two movies that should be awsome are Ghost Rider and Iron Man, at least I hope they are.
Oh, never heard of them. I hope to see when they come out.
Ghost Rider comes out friday or somewhere around then anyway. Nicolas Cage plays Johnny Blaze.
What is it about?
A guy sells his soul to save the life of somebody, and in exchange every night he becomes the ghost rider to protect the innocent.
COOL.
I think I have seen a bit of the preview but not enough to get idea of the movie.
Well from what I understand that is the jist of it, but he ends up fight blackheart or whatever his name is for most of the movie.
Well, I just tell what I saw.
However, I think it may at least be a good rental movie for me.
