This was a movie that I was super excited about when it came out, back around 2001. I remember I had several of the posters that showcased this movie. Anyway, like most disaster movie, we (the audience) is hoping for Humanity to win the day...
The plot in a nutshell, something stops the rotation of the Earth's Core, which causes the Magnetic Field to destabilize and ultimately collapse, threatening every living thing on Earth with extinction. So, upon realizing this is the problem behind a bunch of weird phenomenon occurring, the United States Government forms a plan to save the planet.
Anyway, this is an awesome movie, simply because I believe there is only one profane word used throughout the entire movie. The events are certainly interesting. And the disaster? I can certainly imagine it!

Within the period of three months, something has to be built, a team of people has to use this thing, get to the Core, restart it somehow, and get back to the surface of the planet. Easy, right?
