Writing Instruments

I noticed something, that blue ink pens seems to write more smoothly than black ink pens. Has anybody else noticed this?

And while we're here, what's your preferred writing instrument? I actually prefer mechanical pencils with a 0.5 mm graphite. Just let me keep that good ole pink bar eraser nearby too!
